Composition

The Composition series, in development since 2023, visually spreads the time narrative by collecting pieces of Nerikomi ceramic tiles that carefully arranged in grids. While the result may look different from the Cut series, the theme of accumulated moments in time remains a common thread to me. Unlike the Cut series, where material control is freer, the Composition series emphasizes the intentional repetition in the orchestrated scene. By following a simple and concrete plan of composition on the surface, I intend to freely explore the significance of repeating action that happens in the art practice.
