The Cut series, initiated in 2019, consists of wall-mounted works that explore composition through layered colour structures. The works are made from coloured clay slabs shaped intuitively, retaining traces of spontaneous movement during the making process.
The material is allowed to respond directly to touch and gesture, and each piece captures a fleeting moment within a longer creative sequence. Once fixed on the wall, the surface holds accumulated traces of time, effort, and adjustment, compressed into a single image.
Since 2019, the Cut series has evolved through an ongoing exploration of the creative process. Over time, shifts in colour and form have shaped the series, laying the foundation of my coloured clay practice.
